About Young Executive of the Year
The New Zealand Institute of Management is seeking young leaders, innovators, team builders and high achievers, to step forward and be recognised for the positive impact they have on the growth, productivity, and morale of their employing enterprise. Chief Executives and other organisational leaders should be identifying and nominating your best and brightest young leaders for this award.
Now in its 14th year, the Young Executive of the Year Award was established by the New Zealand Institute of Management and Management Magazine to recognise stand-out individuals who are prepared to go beyond perceived limitations and strive for personal and organisational excellence.

REGIONAL AWARDS & NATIONAL FINALS
Congratulations to Mark Callander, General Manager of Slingshot, winner of the Northern Region NZIM/Eagle Technology Young Executive of the Year 2008.
The judges commented that Mark had been able to leverage his skill and experience to provide a substantial contribution to his organization and its success. He had an in depth understanding of the needs of Slingshot’s customers and other external stakeholders, over and above an ordinary understanding of the business. Mark is an excellent role model for other aspiring managers and leaders.
NZIM Northern would also like to congratulate all finalists at the Northern regional awards. They were:

Mark goes on to the NZIM/Eagle Technology Young Executive of Year 2008 National Awards. The overall winner will be announced at the Deloitte/Management Magazine Top 200 awards evening at SkyCity on 4th December 2008.
