9th September Breakfast Cracking the Corporate Culture Code - Understanding the Unwritten Ground Rules of your organisation with Steve Simpson

9th September Breakfast Cracking the Corporate Culture Code - Understanding the Unwritten Ground Rules of your organisation with Steve Simpson

Cracking the Corporate Culture Code - Understanding the Unwritten Ground Rules of your organisation
with Steve Simpson

  •    Pick up on a powerful concept to enhance organisational performance
  •    Get a better handle on your own organisation's culture
  •    Understand the strategic sequence of positive culture change

Organisational culture is the invisible but undeniable force that shapes people's behaviour in any organisation. Nothing is more important, nothing can be more potent than an organisation's culture - it is the key determinant of the performance of any work team or business. Up to now, managers have been aware of the concept of organisational culture, but because of a number of reasons have felt powerless to change it.

Steve Simpson smashes the myth that organisational culture is a complex and unmanageable phenomenon and introduces a concept that is as simple as it is powerful. His new concept of Unwritten Ground Rules changes all that. UGRs® are what really drive business performance in an organisation. In essence, UGRs® enable people to understand organisational culture in simple and practical terms.
This understanding leads to the ability to manage and improve the organisation's culture. When the culture is 'right', an organisation has a significant competitive advantage that is impossible to replicate. While systems and products can be copied, culture cannot.

In the breakfast session Steve Simpson gives an overview of Unwritten Ground Rules-UGRs® -what they are and how they impact on individual and group behaviours and how you can use them to get a handle on the culture of your organisation.

  Optional Workshop: 8.45am-9.45am

In this accelerated workshop Steve leads participants through a sequence of strategies and a preview of resources that can help their organisation lift their culture and performance to heights unseen before

14th September Hamilton Networking Lunch - Dr Andrew West

14th September Hamilton Networking Lunch - Dr Andrew West

"A Recipe for Economic Survival for New Zealand".
Guest Speaker: Dr Andrew West, Head of Strategy for Seales Ltd and previously Chief Executive of AgResearch
in conjunction with Waikato Chamber of Commerce

Using the same strategy that got us here is not going to get us somewhere else. But what will?

To date New Zealand has had a penchant for impatient, speculative, intra-generational investment. This strategy has had dismal consequences in terms of long-run, relative, economic performance, with a focus on capital, skills and research. Dr West proposes a series of policy changes that are likely to create a penchant for patient, productive and inter-generational investment.

Join us for an informative thought provoking session.

5th October Networking Lunch - Rapid Continuous Improvement in Company Financial Performance with Ian Brammar.

5th October Networking Lunch - Rapid Continuous Improvement in Company Financial Performance with Ian Brammar.

'Rapid Continuous Improvement in Company Financial Performance'
using the new - EV MANAGEMENT®

with Guest Speaker Ian Brammar.

In the current economic environment it is even more important for companies to achieve rapid continuing increases in performance particularly in a company’s “bottom-line”. This is very difficult to do and most companies are stuck with halting, stop-go attempts with no way of prioritising improvements to achieve maximum improvements at minimum cost in minimum time.

Why is this so?

The basic reason is that managers learn plenty about “bottom-upping” techniques, such as Lean, Quality at Source, Six Sigma etc but do not realise that their own “top-downing” management skills and methods became out of date in the early 1950s! These latter skills and methods are completely unsuitable for gaining maximum commercial and financial advantages from the plethora of new “bottom-upping” methods developed particularly over the last 30 or so years.

The purpose of the talk is to give attendees an overview of the how-to for the new, exciting, top-down, total methodology of EV (Expanding Value) Management and Measures. The talk concentrates on how EV is used to achieve real continuous improvement in financial and business performance for all sizes and types of companies. This talk is an absolute must for managers wishing to achieve high financial returns and short, medium and long term stability for their companies.
