Conflict Management

 BUSINESS CHALLENGE

This programme will help participants to prevent or manage conflict successfully, while preserving the goodwill and the cooperation of those involved or affected. Invaluable skills for early intervention, conflict containment and resolution, and mediation will be gained. The programme provides practical experience in a wide range of real-life scenarios of personal and professional conflict.

 LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this programme, it is expected you will have the tools to be able to

  • Recognise the early signs of a conflict and identify its key drivers and characteristics
  • Select appropriate response options in relation to the different types of conflict
  • Understand the dynamics of conflict and be able to apply strategies, models and skills to resolve and manage conflict effectively
  • Understand their own and other's behaviour in relation to conflict
  • Be able to confidently manage themselves in the face of personal and professional conflict
  • Be able to help others to resolve their personal of professional conflicts through effective mediation
  • Have effective ways to continuously assess their effectiveness as a conflict manager and mediator
  • Introduce and maintain effective management strategies and methods in a team, group, department or company.
     

 PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme is highly interactive and involves the sharing of your own experiences combined with practical solutions, role-plays, case studies and other exercises.  Pre-course preparation is required, so we are able to analyse your behavioural profile in your work environment and how this relates to your own behaviour in the face of conflict.
